Founded in 2010 by Ollie Hooper, Stax Home Loans has worked with self-employed clients, borrowers with tax debt, and high-complexity cases that traditional lenders often turn away. We exist for the borrowers the system isn't built for. We cut through the noise. We handle the coordination. And we don't stop until we've found you a solution.

Having experienced the GFC as an active property investor, Ollie Hooper knows what it’s like to face the roller coaster ride of having a home loan during some of the toughest challenges the property industry has experienced. With this lived experience under his belt, Ollie gained a strong desire to gain a greater understanding of the inner workings of the finance industry and made the bold decision to leave his successful corporate career and transition into mortgage broking, establishing Stax Home Loans in October 2010.

Ollie’s motto is simple: Home Loan Chaos Simplified, but his methods are highly individualised and effective, using the latest in technology to ensure his clients are guided through what can be a complex and overwhelming process with ease. What’s more, Ollie works with his clients on a one-on-one basis, so every one of the 500+ couples and individuals he has assisted has direct access to his knowledge and expertise.

Ollie says the age-old issue of location has become negligible thanks to technology and he communicates with clients in any mode that that are comfortable with including phone, email and video conference, when face to face meetings are not possible.

“I continue to work as a single operator and have back office support in order to free up my time to focus on my true strength in the industry, which is getting the optimal possible outcome for my clients. I’m always striving to make the customer experience better,” Ollie says.
